Say 'Goodbuy' to Acne Forever
0 commentsWhilst acne is most frequent during teenage years, impacting on more than 85% of adolescents, it often remains into adulthood. It formulates as a consequence of obstructions in follicles resulting in a skin condition that induces spots and commonly affects the skin of the face, back, neck, chest and arms. The sharpness of the condition can vary. However, it isn't contagious, so you cannot catch it, and is easy to distinguish by the appearance of the spots and by their dispersion on the body.
Say 'Goodbuy' to Acne Forever
Remedies for acne include medicines and creams and work by either unblocking clogged-up pores, reducing the amount of grease made by the skin and reducing the redness or fighting the bacteria that infects the abrasions. Normally, prevalent treatments show modest progression within the first two weeks, more generally taking approximately three months to improve. A mixture of treatments can significantly minimise the amount and harshness of acne in many cases, but the treatments that are most successful tend to have greater possibilities for side effects and need more monitoring, so a step-wise approach is often taken.
It is often suggested that a few months pass between various treatments, because the condition can actually improve in the time after stopping one treatment. Waiting a few months also gives the body a chance to recover. There are a wide range of treatments available to prevent or reduce every kind of acne and there's a good chance one of them will work for you. However, it's vital to treat acne early on, as all treatments are in fact preventions against later occurrences.
It is not dirt or poor hygiene that triggers acne, but keeping your skin cleansed is crucial to keeping it at bay. As long as you try to deal with it you will find a way to treat your skin complaint. Many people's skin is simply liable to acne, but keeping the oil levels of your skin down is what will keep your skin clear. Putting up with acne can be remedied with a solitary proved, holistic plan that heals, restores and results in beautiful, clear skin. By using the natural program that is proving 98% successful with customers you can restore your self-esteem and self-assurance.

7 Easy Ways To Fight Acne
0 commentsThe most effective methods to combat acne include a combination of prevention and better skincare.
Here are some of the ways you can use to prevent and treat acne:
1. Exercise
Regular exercise can help fight acne by fighting off negative stress levels that can come from negative self-esteem and depression. But avoid wearing tight lycra and nylon exercise outfits. These synthetic fabrics that tend to trap body moisture and heat, creating an ideal environment for bacteria to grow. Stick to loose clothing made of cotton or natural blends, and keep your sports gear and equipment clean.
2. Safe Cosmetics
To avoid pore-clogging and skin irritations that can contribute to acne, use products labeled "noncomedogenic" or "oil-free." Opt for "hypo-allergenic" perfumes and cosmetics to avoid allergic reactions and skin irritation. Coal tar derivatives, carmine and heavy cream in blushes can cause reactions.
Shimmering facial colors can contain a flaky mineral called mica that can cause skin irritations and clog pores. Use a lip gloss with a matte finish for less pore-clogging. The more the shine, the more then comedogenic content and the more your pores can clog.
3. Healthy Diet
Studies show that diet does not play a role in either the cause or the treatment of acne. However, what is best for your body is best for your skin. So make sure you get enough vitamins, minerals and supplements that have been known and recommended to prevent and help conquer acne breakouts. These include
* Vitamin A or Retinol (High doses are toxic)
* Vitamin B Complex
* Vitamin C
* Vitamin E
* L-Carnitine
* Zinc
A good quality brand name multivitamin will probably have the recommended vitamins and minerals that you need to help with acne prevention.
Drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day and making good, healthy dietary food choices.
4. Hormonal Treatment
Hormones (or a lack of them) during later years - especially for women - can play a role in acne flare-ups and prevention. One recent study showed that about 50 percent of women have acne, referred to as hormonal acne, problems during the week before their menstruation.
Treatment options include topical retinoids, oral antibiotics and Benzoyl Peroxide for teen years. For adults oral contraceptives or hormonal birth control pills and hormonal replacement therapy (HRT) may be helpful for women, combined with systemic or topical treatments, prescription or over-the-counter products and medications.
5. Healthy Skin Regimen
Avoid harsh scrubbing or over-washing, because this can cause possible skin irritation or possible over production of oil to replace what's washed off, clogging pores in the process. Use products with gentle exfoliation ingredients and skip products that contain alcohol.
6. Acne Products Some of the more popular products on the market that can prevent acne include:
* Benzoyl Peroxide
* Proactive Solution
* Salicylic Acid
* Retinoids
* Antibiotics
* Oral Contraceptives
* Anti-Androgens
* Isotretinoin (Accutane)
7. Shaving
Shaving is actually an excellent way of exfoliating or removing dead skin to help with the prevention and spreading of acne instead of leaving the remains to clog pores. And for some light acne cases already in process, shaving can help rid whiteheads and blackheads from the face. Do not shave areas taht are sore or infected. Use a shaving cream for sensitive skin.
Shave with a sharp blade. Use gentle swipes instead of heavy pressure and go with the flow or "grain." A single-edged blade is better than a twin-blade razor. Electric razors may not shave as close to the skin, but they help with the prevention of acne and other skin breakouts and flare-ups better.
If left untreated acne can be a serious problem. Read how Chris Gibson, who was once a chronic acne sufferer, found a scientically proven way to permanently clear his acne problem. In fact he cured his acne in 3 days without any harsh prescription drugs or over-the-counter products.

What Have You Done to Get Rid of Acne?
0 commentsAcne is a chronic disorder of the hair follicles and sebaceous glands. Some of the characteristics of acne include black heads, pimples, cysts, infected abscesses, and rarely scarring. Acne usually occurs during adolescence in both men and women. To be more specific, acne starts during puberty and tends to get worse for people with oily skin. Acne badly affects teenage boys. Only mild to moderate forms of acne occur in middle-aged women. Acne can be seen most commonly on the face.
Stop Acne Now
To get rid of acne, you have to understand what causes it in the first place. All in all, the formation of acne pimples a pretty complicated process that even scientists and dermatologists don't fully understand. What is known though, can be summed up in a fairly simple manner – Acne bacteria (p. acnes) get trapped inside a pore (hair follicle). The bacteria then feed upon the sebum (oil) trapped inside the pore, and multiply, causing an infection.
There are many types of acne, but the most common form occurs during the teenage years when young adults experience a dramatic increase in hormone levels. These hormones signal the skin glands to produce more oil. When this oil mixes with dead cells, it can clog pores in the skin and trap bacteria as well. The result is often a raised tissue area characterized by swelling, redness, and pus. These bumps are also known as “pimples,” the symptom most commonly associated with acne.
The common symptoms of acne include persistent, recurrent red spots or swellings on the skin known as pimples. The pimples become inflamed and get filled with pus. The pimples usually occur on the face, chest, shoulders, neck, or upper portion of the back. Some of the other symptoms include dark spots with open pores at the center, which are known as blackheads, bulged spots under the skin without openings, which are known as whiteheads, and red swellings or lumps filled with pus, which are known as pustules.
Acne or pimples affects almost everybody. Though most pimples heal without leaving any scar, some severe acne leave scars, pits, uneven skin on healing. As pimples mostly affect face, scars and pits look unsightly. Although not life threatening, acne can cause depression and low self esteem. There are many acne scar treatments available to people now.
While this inescapable skin affliction is destroying your precious face, you are not completely aware how to get rid of acne. Luckily, nowadays medicine has improved a lot and you will come across plenty of information, which will help you to get rid of acne. What have you done in order to get rid of acne so far? Have you already seen skin doctor? Are you still destroying your face with drugstore creams and gels? If you are sure that you want to get rid of acne, first you should take a trip to the dermatologist.
More successful over the counter acne treatments involve the use of topical antibiotics such as Benzoyl peroxide. These treatments, typically in topical cream form, directly kill the bacteria that cause acne. These topical antibiotics kill the bacteria using oxidation, so it is impossible for bacterial to develop resistance. Caution should be taken when using oxidizing antibacterial treatments since they can also bleach clothing and fabric.

10 Acne Myths You Should Forget About
0 commentsWe think we know about acne that we can replace what scientists have learned. Meanwhile, many myths continue to circulate and endure. To clarify some misconceptions about acne is what this article is concerned, and how to prevent and how to find the best cure for Acne should come after we clarify these misconceptions.
Myth 1. Acne affects only the appearance
Acne can also cause profound psychological scars. Severe acne can lead to low self-image and feeling depressed. There is a strong link between severe acne and social isolation (specially among young people).
Myth 2. Acne is caused by poor hygiene
While skin infections are associated with acne, lack of cleanliness is not the cause of the outbreak of acne. The combination of oil and dead skin cells is the cause of acne; it traps oil and bacteria under the skin surface, which is impossible to clean up easily. To minimize this, clean your skin with mild soap and water once or twice a day to keep your skin as healthy as possible. Avoid scrubing too hard as this can aggravate acne.
Myth 3. Acne is caused by specific foods
Chocolate always had a reputation as acne-inducing food. But, studies have shown no scientific evidence that this is true. The same goes for chips and sugary foods. There are foods that seem to exacerbate (not cause) the condition: milk and foods rich in iodine, such as seafood and some types of nuts for example.
Myth 4. Acne has to run its course
This should not be so as there are many acne treatments
available, which are tested and proven by dermatologist.
Myth 5. The best medicine for acne
Some people believe that if their acne worsens they should use more drugs. It is a bad idea because drugs can be dangerous if taken in large quantities (topical or oral). Excess use of acne ointments May only further irritate the skin.
Myth 6. Sunbathing is good for acne
The sun dries out the excess oil, it improves acne in the short term. However, sun exposure in the long-term run can do more harm than good, including worsening of acne. Worse, there is scientific evidence that exposure to the sun damages the skin and increases the risk of skin cancer.
Myth 7. Makeup causes acne
Some cosmetics can clog pores, which is bad for the health of your skin. But there are cosmetics called "noncomedogenic" or "nonacnegenic" that are safe to use. Some brands are made with ingredients to treat acne even.
Myth 8. Acne is a teenager problem
While most adolescents have acne, many adults too suffer the condition. Acne should clear for the first 20 years of your life. However, some people experience acne for the first time as late as 40 years old. And, for the most unfortunate of all, some people suffer acne outbreaks throughout their lives.
Myth 9. Acne is related to sex
Probably, we've all heard that too much sex or celibacy causes pimples. There's no proof of that! There is a link between sexual activity and hormone production, but the relationship between sex and the production of sebum (oily substance which combines with dead cells to cause acne) is not known. Stress and anger also affect hormone levels.
Myth 10. Popping grain is the best way to get rid of acne
The fact is that popping acne in any form may spread the infection in the skin that can exacerbate the spread of bacteria that is causes it.

Heal Acne Scars - Your Choices
0 commentsAcne scarring effects ten million new Americans a year, and with the health and beauty market ever expanding, there are a wide range of products that promote better health but fail to deliver what they promise. In order to be able to heal acne scars successfully, you need to know a few things.
First off, there are several professional treatments available, that your doctor can recommend to you. These treatments are effective, often can be done in one to four sessions, and can be completed within a month. The only known drawback from these treatments is the cost, which varies from around eight hundred dollars for a chemical peel session, to three thousand dollars per a laser therapy session.
If you are seeking alternative treatments, and your doctor is not being forthcoming, do some online research and find a product that restores your skin with natural means, such as Zenmed's Scar Treatment Kit. You can also try other take at home treatments, such as Dermabrasion face washes, but these are usually only effective on mild cases of scarring, and over a larger course of time.
It is strongly recommended that you stay away from any home treatment options that promote chemical peels, as these products, if used incorrectly, can cause skin damage.
When your selecting an alternative product, it is important to know what your body needs. It needs a product that will help prevent further acne, and thus prevent further scarring, and it's going to need a product that also restores Collagen levels. Scars are tougher and less flexible due to lower levels of this natural molecule.

How to Remove Acne Scars Yourself
0 commentsRemoving acne scars has always been a curiosity to those affected by them, and often the only thing that prevents us from following through with a treatment is the information available to us and the cost. This article will go over the ways of how to remove acne scars.
Dermatologists can remove acne scars by several means, ranging from surgeries, laser therapies, injections, and Dermabrasion. These methods, while quite effective, are also quite costly, and are often not covered by insurance providers. They also affect your body differently, as some of the treatments remove the top layer of the targeted area, while the others encourage collagen levels and decrease melanin levels. Collagen is one of the key molecules for skin flexibility, while melanin is what causes pigmentation of the skin.
The take home treatments include topical treatments, and orally taken medications or herbal supplements. Most topical treatments only help moisturize and clean the skin, but do not help in preventing future breakouts. Orally taken medications often do the same, and fail in treating the acne scars. Herbal supplements boast ingredients that will help your bodies healing process, but are often ineffective, as acne scars are the result of your body's natural healing process. Whenever using a take home method, it is important to understand how it works. A product that works on both fronts is often more effective then a single usage method. Products such as Zenmed© provide healthier alternatives.
When trying to find the product that will work best for you, make sure you do your research. If a product does not offer a money back guarantee or provides you with an acceptable amount of testimonials, it might not be for you. Asking your doctor's opinion about a product is also a great way to find if it is a reputable product or a placebo.

Does Microdermabrasion Help Acne Scars?
0 commentsMicrodermabrasion is when tiny particles are applied to an area to remove the top layer of skin. By doing so a new layer of skin grows to replace the old, and often has a healthier appearance.
Microdermabrasion can be done by a professional Dermatologist in their office, and often only takes one to three sessions, depending on the degree of scarring. The Dermatologist will either braise the skin with crystals or a type of wire brush, and then use a vacuum tube to suck away the crystals and or dead skin cells. The treatment often costs upto $1500.00 dollars, and while effective, makes one wonder about take home versions of Microdermabrasion treatments.
For starters, do not buy a device for personal Microdermabrasion use. These devices, while not complicated, if used incorrectly, will seriously further the damage, and possibly create new scars that will not be removable by the device. These devices should only be used by a licensed professional.
Take home methods of Microdermabrasion that are safe are topical treatments that have course particles in them, and require you to "work in", or massage the ointment to the scarred tissue. The course particles will create cuts in the scars, and cause a new layer of skin to grow, such as in the professional methods. These treatments effectiveness vary on the product, and means of application. Some people buy a product that has strong moisturizers within the formula, and while this helps quicken the healing process, it also reduces the strength of the top layer of skin via a strong acid or base, giving a second unlisted effect of a chemical peel. This treatment is also difficult to use on a single scar.
Some companies such as Zenmed suggest an alternate means. By using a topical treatment that helps the skin restore moisture and to heal rapidly, and via a second part to the product, that affects the deeper layers of skin.
